Knit for Food Knit-a-Thon

Join South End Yarn Co. in supporting food insecurity initiatives by joining the Knit for Food Knit-a-Thon! We are hosting a free, in-store gathering on April 5 from 10 am to 8 pm. Bring your WIP along and use the time to make some friends and progress!

Come for the day or drop in for any portion of the festivities. Snacks, treats and coffee and tea will be served and you're welcome to bring a lunch if you're able to come for the day. There will be hourly raffles; the longer you stay, the better your chances of taking home a prize!

There are two ways to support the Knit-a-thon: You can sign up to knit, crochet, or do any other craft for 12 hours OR you can Donate!

The Knit for Food Knit-a-thon is a 12 hour knitting marathon to raise funds for hunger and food insecurity. 100% of the money we raise is equally divided between Feeding America, World Central Kitchen, No Kid Hungry, and Meals on Wheels.

In 2021, the knitters, raised $265,810!
In 2022, the knitters raised $271,761!!
In 2023, the knitters raised $340,000!!!
In 2024, the knitters raised $379,010!!!
That means knitters have raised over $1,250,000 with our knitting needles!! Can you even believe that?!
