Patty Lyons Techinique-Along

South End Yarn Co. is holding a six-session workshop to explore Patty Lyon's Knitting Bag of Tricks and progress through the chapters of The Official Workbook. From how to do a better ssk avoid the gap at the end of a bind off to how to tighten your first stitch and make better neck divides, you'll be finding your new favorite knitting tricks. Increased understanding of your stitches and your knitting skills will take leap forward!

The Official Workbook brings Patty’s classroom experience to you with exercises that illustrate the lessons and techniques from her book. Ideal for tactile learners, it features step-by-step instructions to guide you through knitting swatches, helping you practice techniques, understand the ‘why’ behind them, and get to know your knitting better.

Each week the class will go over the knitting done at home, compare swatches, work through practices as a group and have teacher-led discussions. 

The workshop will meet every two weeks for 6 sessions.

Class Materials:
You will need both of Patty Lyons' Knitting Bag of Tricks books. They are available at the shop.

You will also need yarn and needles for the various exercises throughout. All students will receive 15% off any supplies they need to purchase throughout the series, while in the store.

Instructor: Anna Wetmore

Prerequisites: This is an intermediate knitting class. You must know how to cast on, knit, purl, bind off, increase and decrease without supervision.

Homework: There will be homework before the first class which you will receive upon signing up, including a first swatch.
